I finished my novel on February 5, at 7:26 p.m. It was exhilarating, yet bittersweet to be done with the novel that had required so much of my time. After completing the novel, I began editing a chapter a day while confirming all of the dates listed in the novel to make sure there wasn’t an obscure anomaly that might threw my reader or a historian off. After this, I started editing two chapters a day. This was a much easier task than writing an entirely original, factually correct chapter everyday. Even so, it is easy to fall behind on editing a chapter, and when it happens, it is not easy to catch up.
Other than this, I did not do much else. There was the elation of finishing the novel, but it toned down a little bit after a few days.
